The seal verifies that each integration meets verifiable standards of ethics, technical soundness and scientific evidence before it reaches the people who use it. It works as a quality control that allows the technology to move into real contexts without losing the principles that make it safe. What it certifies is an integration that already exists, works and has passed the hub’s assessment.

Why does Somia Within exist?

Conversational AI has spread faster than the safeguards it ought to carry with it. The same market holds rigorous technologies alongside products that promise support or companionship with no validation behind them. That mix erodes trust and leaves people exposed at the very moment they interact with a tool that listens, speaks and enters their everyday life.

Somia Within answers that asymmetry. It gives the organizations adopting the technology, and the end users, a clear criterion for telling an integration that meets verifiable requirements apart from one that only works in a demo. The seal allows Somia to move into corporate spaces, productivity centers, educational or creative environments and wellbeing products without diluting the safety principles that underpin it.

What the seal certifies and what it leaves out

Somia Within applies to products or services that already integrate Somia in working form. It covers three types of integration: hardware devices with the technology embedded, software and platforms incorporating its conversational layer, and services that deploy it in client organizations. It does not certify ideas, unbuilt prototypes or startups at the concept stage. The seal accredits solutions that already work and leaves out anything that is still an intention.

The same bar applies to the products yeshcube develops and to those of external manufacturers. VVAVVE, the wellbeing mask with emotional AI and immersive audio, is a Somia Within product and goes through the same criteria that would be required of any external integration. The seal’s coherence depends on there being no internal exceptions.

What the certification requires

Evidence is at the core of the assessment. yeshcube measures the maturity of each solution with the ERL scale (Evidence Readiness Level), which runs from ERL-0, an initial hypothesis, to ERL-5, consolidated impact in society. Moving between levels is never automatic: each step requires formal validation.

For an active transfer, Somia Within requires at least ERL-3, the initial transfer level. Reaching it means evidence replicated across several real contexts, robust aggregate samples, statistically significant results, assessment of efficacy, safety, usability and acceptance, independent peer review and full regulatory compliance. The certification is not satisfied by something working in the lab. The underlying criterion is ethical: a solution without sufficient evidence should not be transferred just because it is technically possible.

Beyond evidence, the seal verifies compliance with the principles that run through all of yeshcube’s work: privacy by design, with data minimisation and analysis on anonymised information; digital non-maleficence, which rules out any manipulative or coercive use of the conversation; universal accessibility and equity; and independence from interests that could compromise its social function. To that are added data governance, with security policies, traceability of decisions and documented usage agreements, and technical compatibility, which requires respecting the APIs and the audio-first architecture that lets Somia behave as an ambient, non-invasive AI.

Somia always makes its status as artificial intelligence explicit. It does not present itself as a person, does not simulate feeling and does not replace professional care. When a situation exceeds its scope, it refers on or stops, rather than improvising a response that could cause harm.

How the seal is obtained

Certification follows a six-phase process that avoids shortcuts. It begins with a first contact and the application, in which the manufacturer provides the technical documentation and the purpose of the integration. Next comes a preliminary assessment of compatibility with the hub’s principles, the definition of a tailored validation plan, and the running of tests and piloting under instrumentation that monitors safety, efficacy and the experience of use in real conditions. Then comes review by yeshcube’s scientific and ethics committees, which either approve the integration or request changes. The final phase is an audit which, if everything fits, issues the seal along with the usage licenses and follow-up protocols.

A seal maintained through use

Certification does not end when it is issued. Every seal is subject to periodic audit and can be revoked if a degradation of standards or non-compliance with the principles is detected. Trust rests on real-world operation and is reviewed while the product remains in use.

Reference cases

The clearest way to understand Somia Within is to see it applied. Among the hub’s own products, VVAVVE applies the criteria from the inside. In external integrations, ACTIU’s Qyos Bloom acoustic booths incorporate the Somia Bloom sound system and operate under the seal: hub technology inside specialist hardware for corporate environments.
