What is yeshcube?

yeshcube is an independent research and technology transfer hub based in Valencia, established in April 2025.

It investigates how science and technology can contribute to human development and translates that knowledge into systems, products, and applications designed for use in real-world settings.

The hub brings together applied research, artificial intelligence, engineering, software, sound technologies, and product design. Its work addresses wellbeing and care, work, performance, learning, voice interaction, and the relationship between people and technology.

yeshcube develops its own projects and collaborates with companies, universities, institutions, and social organizations. Some developments become products created by the hub; others are integrated into products or services belonging to external organizations.

Boilerplate

yeshcube is an independent research and technology transfer hub established in Valencia in April 2025. It investigates how science and technology can contribute to human development and translates that knowledge into systems, products, and applications that can be used in real-world settings. Its work combines applied research, artificial intelligence, engineering, software, sound technologies, and product design across areas related to wellbeing, care, work, performance, childhood, voice, and high-demand environments. The hub maintains its registered office at The Terminal Hub in La Marina de València and carries out part of its research and testing at the Science Park of the University of Valencia.

Research and technology transfer

From knowledge to application

yeshcube works to address the distance between available knowledge and its application outside the setting in which it is generated.

A line of work may begin with a research question, a need identified in a real-world setting, or a technology whose operation and impact need to be studied. The hub reviews the available knowledge, defines the hypothesis, designs a possible response, and develops the components required to evaluate it.

The process combines research, design, development, evaluation, and transfer. Results from each phase are used to review the hypothesis, modify the solution, or determine whether sufficient conditions exist to continue.

Technology transfer may take different forms: a product developed by yeshcube, an integration into an external solution, a collaboration with a manufacturer, or the transfer of knowledge and methodology to another organization.

Evidence Readiness Level

yeshcube uses the Evidence Readiness Level, or ERL, scale to organize the maturity of the evidence supporting its developments.

The methodology comprises six levels, from ERL-0 to ERL-5, and follows the evolution of a solution from the initial formulation of a hypothesis to its evaluation under conditions that progressively approximate its real-world context.

ERL is used as an internal monitoring tool and as a reference for technology transfer. It is a framework developed by yeshcube: it is not an external scientific certification and does not replace the ethical, scientific, technical, or regulatory evaluations applicable to each project.

Applied research

Blind Echo Experience

Blind Echo Experience was a six-month pilot study examining an experience based on reduced visual stimulation, sound, and interaction with Somia.

A total of 89 adults participated and completed 119 sessions.

The recorded variables included perceived stress before and after the experience, mental clarity, satisfaction, and indicators related to acceptance and use.

A total of 83.1% of participants recorded a reduction in perceived stress after the session. A total of 76.4% reported greater mental clarity, calm, or ability to concentrate, and 97.8% rated the experience positively.

The study forms part of the research process that has accompanied the evolution of VVAVVE and the conversational and sensory experiences developed by the hub.

Ika and BeHealthy

Ika is a conversational interface developed on Somia and integrated into BeHealthy, an initiative by IKI Health.

The first implementation analyzed by yeshcube took place within BeHealthy Calvià, a six-month program for 150 women over the age of 35.

A total of 186 conversations with Ika were recorded during the program, of which 108 met the technical criteria established for valid conversations.

The evaluation included 122 valid evaluations and 243 responses on perceived usefulness and wellbeing.

The recorded results were 92.2% for perceived usefulness, 93.4% for perceived wellbeing, and 92.8% overall.

In July 2026, Somia also began its integration into BeHealthy San Francisco, extending this line of work to the United States.

Areas of work and technology

Somia

Somia is a modular conversational artificial intelligence system for everyday emotional wellbeing developed by yeshcube.

Its architecture supports conversational and audio experiences and integrates shared orchestration, content, data, analysis, and validation capabilities into products developed by yeshcube and by third parties.

Somia is researched and used in areas related to wellbeing, work, care, performance, voice interaction, and screen-free experiences.

Somia does not provide medical, psychological, or psychiatric services, does not make diagnoses, and does not replace professional care.

Somia Bloom

Somia Bloom is a spatial audio system with artificial intelligence for acoustic pods.

It is designed to turn these spaces into environments where users can take part in audio and conversational experiences related to wellbeing, everyday emotional regulation, recovery, concentration, and voice-guided work.

Somia Bloom provides audio configurations adapted to the size and use of each pod. It can be installed inside the panels or on their surface, depending on the model and project.

The system does not include microphones inside the pod. When an experience uses voice interaction, input is provided through the user’s phone and remains under the user’s control.

One of its first industrial transfers is Qyos Bloom, developed with Actiu as part of the Qyos family of acoustic pods.

VVAVVE

VVAVVE is a portable wellbeing mask that combines immersive audio, reduced visual stimulation, and Somia’s artificial intelligence architecture.

It is designed for brief experiences of calm, mental clarity, concentration, or rest without placing a screen at the center of the interaction.

The project investigates the combined use of visual isolation, sound, and conversational interaction in different settings.

Kiwikidoo

Kiwikidoo is a voice-based interactive adventure platform developed for children.

Stories progress through each child’s spoken decisions within a defined narrative structure. The project studies forms of childhood interaction with artificial intelligence in which voice, imagination, and participation replace the screen as the central element of the experience.

Kiwikidoo participated in UNICEF Lab, UNICEF Spain’s accelerator for innovative projects, in 2026. Its first public exploratory test with children and families took place at Expociencia 2026 at the Science Park of the University of Valencia.

The final application remains in development. The project includes plans for dedicated physical devices, including headphones and a soft toy with integrated hardware.

Other developments

The Somia ecosystem includes other lines of development:

  • Somia One: a home device for everyday wellbeing and companionship experiences without screens.
  • Somia Buds: headphones for audio and conversational experiences.
  • Somia Swish: a voice check-in system for older people that can alert a caregiver when no response is received.
  • Somia Ring: a gesture-based interface for controlling elements of the Somia ecosystem without relying on a phone.
  • Somia Niu: an autonomous pod concept for supervised companionship and emotional regulation experiences for children.

These developments are at different stages, and their inclusion in this document does not imply commercial availability.

Mario Pérez

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Mario Pérez leads yeshcube’s strategy, the definition of new areas of work, and the connection between research, technology, product development, and transfer.

His background is linked to technology entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, and emotional wellbeing. He has participated in specialized programs in artificial intelligence, technology transfer, science-based entrepreneurship, and startup development promoted by the University of Valencia and the Catholic University of Murcia.

Dr. David Roldán

Chief Technology Officer

Dr. David Roldán leads yeshcube’s technology strategy and the artificial intelligence architecture of its developments.

He holds a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and is enrolled in the Intelligent Systems doctoral program at the National University of Distance Education, or UNED. His work focuses on technology architecture, artificial intelligence, responsible governance, regulatory compliance, and organizational adoption.

Bea Alonso

Head of Social Impact

Bea Alonso leads yeshcube’s social impact initiatives and contributes to processes designed to transfer the knowledge and technologies developed by the hub into settings where greater economic, technological, or social barriers exist.

She coordinates the social dimension of the hub’s programs and works on developing partnerships with public administrations, foundations, social organizations, and third-sector entities.

Her work incorporates accessibility, equity, contextual suitability, and responsible transfer criteria.

Carolina Cachero

Sales and Communications Manager

Carolina Cachero coordinates yeshcube’s sales and communications areas, as well as day-to-day relations with the media and the press.

Her work focuses on developing business opportunities, managing relationships with companies and organizations, corporate communications, and the public dissemination of the hub’s activity. She also coordinates press requests, provides information and materials to the media, and manages contact with journalists.
