Somia Bloom™ is the AI spatial sound system developed by yeshcube for acoustic booths. It brings the Somia™ architecture into booths from any manufacturer and model, with no structural modifications, turning a space built to isolate into an active environment for wellbeing, focus and voice-guided work. It is commercially available in two audio systems, Echo and Pulse, each with two installation modes and two modes of use.

The ERL scale (Evidence Readiness Level) measures the evidence maturity of a solution across six levels, from the initial hypothesis (ERL-0) to consolidated impact (ERL-5).

The problem: bringing AI sound into a space that was not designed for it

Acoustic booths are a familiar part of the landscape in offices, coworking spaces, airports, hospitals, hotels and universities. They serve a passive function: they cut outside noise and offer privacy for calls, meetings or individual work. That already-installed infrastructure has excellent acoustic conditions that go unused most of the time.

Making use of them raises concrete difficulties. The first is heterogeneity: every manufacturer works with its own formats, dimensions, materials and construction systems, and a solution that required redesigning the booth would be confined to a single catalog. The second is the integrity of the space: the booth has to keep serving the purpose it was bought for, without losing its original function or filling up with devices that demand attention. The third is privacy: installing permanent microphones in a space whose whole value is confidentiality would create the very problem the booth solves.

The system answers all three with a single design principle: it is Somia Bloom that adapts to the booth, to its format and to its use.

Design requirements

Five requirements follow from that problem, and they govern Somia Bloom’s design:

  • Universal compatibility: the system integrates into booths from any manufacturer and model, with no structural modifications.
  • Sound scaled to the space: the audio configuration adjusts to the volume and use of each booth.
  • Voice-only interface: the experience works without screens or technological elements that demand attention.
  • No audio capture in the booth: the space stays free of microphones.
  • Reversibility: with the system inactive, the booth keeps its conventional uses intact.

Architecture: Somia Bloom’s physical layer and the Somia core

Somia’s modular character separates what the core provides from what each product resolves. In that division, Somia Bloom is the physical and deployment layer: the audio system, its installation and its adaptation to each booth. The Somia core provides the experience orchestration, the content, the safety rules and the data governance, described in the Somia architecture. The split between the physical layer and the core is set out in Somia Bloom and Somia.

The physical layer offers two systems. Bloom Echo uses two speakers in a stereo configuration and is designed for single-person booths and compact spaces. Bloom Pulse uses four speakers in a surround configuration and is intended for larger booths and shared spaces.

Both systems support two installation modes: IN, with the audio built into the booth’s panels, and ON, with the equipment surface-mounted. The choice depends on the booth model and on how much visual integration each project is after. In both cases the intelligence directing the experience is the same. How a session works

A session follows a defined path. The person enters the booth and activates the experience from their own mobile phone, which acts as the control point and as the voice input. From there the interaction is entirely sound-based: Somia’s voice proposes or waits, leads the chosen session and adjusts the experience to the context, with no screens inside the booth.

The system operates in two modes of use. Bloom Wellness organizes the wellbeing experience into three layers. Sensory Experiences brings together soundscapes, frequencies and adaptive music that work without conversation. Immersive Experiences adds guided conversations with Somia, aimed at emotional regulation, decompression and active listening. MyBloom Experiences groups structured programs that adapt to the rhythms and objectives of each team.

Bloom Workstation turns the booth toward deep work: voice note-taking, task management, reminders and focus modes. The system keeps context between sessions and structures the information captured so it can be retrieved when needed.

Data and privacy: a booth without microphones

The central fact of the design is the absence of audio capture in the space: Somia Bloom does not include microphones in the booth. Voice input comes from the microphone on the user’s phone, under their direct control, so the booth keeps the confidentiality that motivated its purchase.

Information handling follows Somia’s data regime: personalization memories that are enabled voluntarily, visible, editable and deletable; a local-first architecture in which information lives on the device by default; and a GDPR and LOPDGDD framework with Yeshcube Tech, SL as data controller. Evidence and validation status

Somia Bloom holds level ERL-3, initial transfer: the system is commercially available and integrated into acoustic booths from third-party manufacturers. Level ERL-4 (validated scaling) requires demonstrating scaling with studies across multiple contexts and independent review. It will be declared once that evidence is available.

What it is for and what it is not

Somia Bloom is intended for spaces where people need a pause or focus: offices, coworking spaces, airports, hospitals, hotels, spas and universities. At the workplace it operates as an AI sound system for office booths, with the Echo and Pulse systems and the IN and ON installation modes. With the system active, the booth offers wellbeing or deep-work sessions. Inactive, the booth works exactly as it did before installation: calls, meetings and tasks that require privacy.

Its limits are those of the system behind it. Somia offers non-clinical support to adults: it does not provide medical, psychological or psychiatric services, does not make diagnoses and does not replace professional care.

Somia Bloom is one of the commercial integrations of the Somia system and carries the Somia Within certification, which applies common criteria of technology, ethics and evidence to every product.
