The collaboration will enable research to be developed and tested in Paterna, with access to the scientific, technological, and knowledge-transfer capabilities of the University of Valencia.

yeshcube has incorporated the University of Valencia Science Park (PCUV) as a laboratory environment for part of its applied research activity. The collaboration establishes a stable framework from which the hub can conduct experimental work, evaluation processes, and new research lines in contact with the scientific and technological ecosystem of the University of Valencia.

The agreement expands the relationship established in early 2026, when yeshcube joined IAtecUV, the PCUV incubator for Artificial Intelligence and Enabling Technologies. The collaboration will bring the hub’s projects closer to researchers, knowledge-intensive companies, and specialized technology-transfer structures.

The Science Park currently hosts around one hundred innovative companies alongside research institutes and centers belonging to the University of Valencia. This creates an environment in which technological development, scientific research, and business activity coexist within the same ecosystem.

Pedro Carrasco, Director of the University of Valencia Science Park, sees yeshcube’s participation in IAtecUV as consistent with the Park’s role in connecting research and industry.

An environment for research, evaluation, and testing

The purpose of the collaboration is to incorporate scientific and methodological capabilities into the development of projects that need to be assessed beyond their technical performance.

From Paterna, yeshcube will be able to formulate new research questions, conduct experimental work, document the evolution of its projects, and identify specialized knowledge when a particular research line requires additional expertise.

Israel J. Juma, Innovation Agent at the PCUV AI incubator, identifies this need for rigorous testing as one of the main points of alignment between the two organizations.

“The fit with IAtecUV is natural: we are talking about a company working with applied artificial intelligence that needs an environment where its developments can be tested rigorously.”

This becomes particularly relevant when a technology moves beyond the prototype stage. Evaluating a system under real-world conditions requires examining how it is used, what effects it produces, what limitations emerge, and under which conditions it may progress toward new applications or technology transfer.

The Science Park will therefore operate as an extension of the hub’s research capacity. It will not replace yeshcube’s own research or turn every development into a university project. The objective is to connect each research line with the scientific capabilities required by the questions that emerge as the project develops.

Evaluating what happens when technology reaches real-world settings

Research into impact will be one of the areas with the greatest relevance within this framework.

yeshcube develops technologies intended to interact with people, organizations, and specific environments. This requires separating technical performance from other questions concerning use, utility, experience, safety, and the conditions required for eventual transfer.

Projects that may benefit from this approach include Kiwikidoo, a voice-based interactive experience for children that yeshcube is developing with UNICEF Spain through UNICEF Lab.

Another is Somia Bloom, a system integrating sound and artificial intelligence in acoustic booths that can be used to investigate applications in areas including wellbeing, work, and performance.

In both cases, moving from development toward real-world applications requires research questions, indicators, and methodologies adapted to each context. The new framework will make it possible to bring this work closer to specialists who can contribute to the design of those evaluations.

Bea Alonso, Head of Impact at yeshcube, identifies this as one of the main purposes of the collaboration.

“Researching impact means understanding what happens when a technology leaves the development environment and reaches people. We need to study very different realities, using specific questions, indicators and methodologies. Working from the Science Park allows us to bring this research closer to specialized scientific knowledge and strengthen the way we assess impact before moving toward new applications.”

The results of these evaluations can subsequently inform decisions concerning design, research, and technology transfer. Evaluation therefore becomes part of the development process rather than a final assessment carried out once a product has already been completed.

Maintaining internal research capacity while connecting specialized knowledge

The collaboration preserves a defining feature of yeshcube’s model: the hub retains its own capacity to initiate research and develop technology, while seeking external scientific collaboration when the questions raised by a project require specific expertise or methodologies.

This approach makes it possible to work with different universities, research groups, companies, and specialists according to the requirements of each research line.

For Mario Pérez, Director of yeshcube, operating within a university science park changes the conditions under which this research can take place.

“For a hub like ours, being inside a university science park changes the conditions in which we work. Researching in isolation is not the same as doing so surrounded by research groups, companies and methodology.”

The incorporation of the PCUV therefore gives yeshcube a second environment for its applied research, connected to the scientific and technological activity of the University of Valencia and focused on the testing, evaluation, and transfer of projects that require these capabilities.
