The institutional collaboration will enable the hub to develop and assess research from Paterna in contact with the Universitat de València’s scientific, technological and technology transfer capabilities

Paterna, August 24, 2026. The Universitat de València Science Park (PCUV) and yeshcube have formalized an institutional collaboration that incorporates the Park’s scientific environment into the hub’s applied research model. The agreement will enable yeshcube to conduct part of its research, evaluation processes and experimental work from Paterna, using the PCUV as a laboratory environment connected to the scientific and technological activity of the Universitat de València.

The collaboration is framed within a consulting service developed for IAtecUV, the Artificial Intelligence and Enabling Technologies incubator whose program yeshcube joined in early 2026. The new framework expands that relationship and provides the hub with a stable environment from which to bring its developments closer to researchers, knowledge-intensive companies and specialized technology transfer structures.

For Pedro Carrasco, Director of the Universitat de València Science Park, yeshcube’s incorporation into IATecUV reflects the Park’s role as a meeting point for research, innovation and business. “The Park exists precisely to make it possible for scientific and technological knowledge to be assessed, developed and transferred in contact with companies, research groups and university talent. yeshcube’s arrival at IATecUV reinforces this vision, because we are talking about a company working with applied artificial intelligence and approaching innovation through experimentation, evaluation and real-world impact,” he says.

The Science Park currently hosts around one hundred innovative companies and provides an environment where business activity operates alongside the Universitat de València’s research institutes and centers. This configuration enables yeshcube to conduct part of its work beyond a purely corporate setting and closer to scientific disciplines and capabilities relevant to its projects.

A laboratory connected to research and technology transfer

For yeshcube, the value of the collaboration lies in having an environment where technology development can progress alongside research, evaluation and methodological assessment.

The Science Park will operate as an extension of the hub’s research capabilities. From Paterna, yeshcube will be able to conduct experimental work, formulate new research questions, document the evolution of its projects and identify specialized knowledge when a research line requires additional capabilities.

Israel J. Juma, Innovation Agent for the PCUV’s AI incubator, highlights the fit between the hub and this environment: “The fit with IAtecUV is natural: we are talking about a company working with applied artificial intelligence that needs an environment where its development can be assessed with rigor.”

This laboratory role becomes particularly relevant when a project moves beyond technical development. Working with technologies intended for real-world use requires studying how they perform outside the prototype, how they interact with their users and what criteria should be met before progressing toward technology transfer.

Researching the impact of technology in real-world contexts

Research related to impact is one of the areas that gains particular importance within this framework. yeshcube works on projects intended for real-world settings, which means part of its research focuses on understanding what happens when technology interacts with specific people, organizations and environments.

These projects include Kiwikidoo, a voice-based interactive experience for children that yeshcube is developing in collaboration with UNICEF Spain within UNICEF Lab, and Somia Bloom, a system combining sound and artificial intelligence in acoustic booths that serves as a basis for research into applications across wellbeing, workplace and performance settings.

These developments require research into how they are used, how people respond to them, what utility they provide and under what conditions they can be transferred to new environments. The PCUV will bring this work closer to specialists and scientific capabilities that can contribute to defining research questions, indicators and methodologies appropriate to each project.

“Researching impact means understanding what happens when technology leaves the development environment and reaches people. We need to study very different realities, with specific questions, indicators and methodologies. Working from the Science Park allows us to bring this research closer to specialized scientific knowledge and strengthen how we evaluate impact before moving toward new applications,” explains Bea Alonso, Head of Impact at yeshcube.

The collaboration therefore enables evaluation to become part of project development and allows research findings to inform subsequent research and technology transfer decisions.

For yeshcube, the model also preserves a defining characteristic of its structure as an independent hub: maintaining its own capacity to initiate and develop new research lines while connecting them with universities, scientific groups, companies and specialists whenever each project requires it.

Mario Pérez, Director of yeshcube, summarizes the scope of this new stage: “For a hub like ours, being inside a university science park changes the conditions in which we work. Researching in isolation is very different from doing so surrounded by research groups, companies and methodology.”
