Somia joins the IAtecUV incubator at the Universitat de València to accelerate its scientific and technological development
Somia, the modular conversational AI system developed by yeshcube, has been selected to join the incubation program at IAtecUV, the High Technology Incubator in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Enabling Technologies of the Universitat de València and the Fundació Parc Científic.
Joining is an important milestone for the hub. It validates the work done so far and opens concrete possibilities for accelerating research lines that until now advanced on limited resources.
What the selection means for yeshcube
Joining IAtecUV gives access to a support structure designed specifically for science- and technology-based projects linked to artificial intelligence. For yeshcube, that translates into resources that will let us take steps which would otherwise have required far more time.
The program includes specialist training, both business and scientific mentoring from UV researchers specializing in AI, and access to a network of contacts across the artificial intelligence ecosystem.
But two elements are especially relevant to Somia’s development: preferential access to the Tirant supercomputer through the Spanish Supercomputing Network, and the possibility of using the scientific and technical services of the Universitat de València’s SCSIE.
Infrastructure for serious research
Until now, Somia’s development has been based on integrating external conversational AI models, mainly through alliances with our main partners. That approach has made it possible to build a working system with real emotional support capabilities.
Access to supercomputing infrastructure, however, changes the horizon of possibilities. It allows us to explore training our own models adapted specifically to the emotional wellbeing contexts in which Somia operates, with datasets designed under yeshcube’s ethical and methodological principles.
It is not a step we will take immediately or hastily. But having the structure to do so when it makes sense is an important qualitative difference.
Focus on research and transfer
The funding attached to the program is not the most significant part of this selection. What matters is that it frees resources and attention to concentrate on what really counts: advancing the open research within the Care program and preparing responsible transfers of solutions that have already reached sufficient maturity.
IAtecUV’s behavior laboratory also offers interesting possibilities for validating market hypotheses and implementation strategies with real users before larger-scale deployments. That fits directly with the progressive validation methodology that defines yeshcube’s work.
Connection with the university ecosystem
This selection strengthens yeshcube’s relationship with the Universitat de València. Joining IAtecUV adds an institutional layer that makes future collaborations easier and positions Somia within the university innovation ecosystem of the Comunitat Valenciana.
IAtecUV’s mission is to promote the transfer of scientific knowledge to the artificial intelligence sector. That orientation matches exactly what yeshcube does: turning scientific evidence into technological solutions with verifiable human impact.

This support arrives at a moment when the Somia ecosystem is ready to take significant leaps. With transfer partners such as Actiu already selling Somia Within certified booths, with ElevenLabs’ voice technology integrated, and with a consolidated scientific validation methodology, having access now to supercomputing infrastructure and specialist AI mentoring lets us think in more ambitious terms.
We are going to make the most of this opportunity to keep building technology that cares for people, with the rigor and responsibility that have defined yeshcube’s work from the start.
